Most of the Covid related travel restrictions have now been removed, however it is prudent to check for the latest information on restrictions, covid testing requirements, quarantine measures, etc.. on the official Government of Canada website. COVID-19 travel restrictions to Canada vary depending on your vaccination status, mode of travel, and country of origin.

• If you are fully vaccinated, you can enter Canada without any COVID-19 testing, quarantine, or isolation requirements, regardless of where you are coming from or how you are traveling. You do not need to submit any information through the ArriveCAN app or website, or provide proof of vaccination. However, you should still follow the public health measures in place in your destination province or territory
• If you are not fully vaccinated, you can only enter Canada for essential reasons, such as work, study, family reunification, or humanitarian grounds. You must also meet the following requirements:
  1. Submit your travel and contact information, proof of vaccination (if applicable), and quarantine plan through the ArriveCAN app or website before boarding your flight or arriving at the land border.
  2. Provide a negative COVID-19 molecular test result taken within 72 hours before your scheduled departure time or arrival at the land border. Antigen tests are not accepted.
  3. Take another COVID-19 molecular test upon arrival in Canada, and stay in a government-authorized hotel for up to three nights while awaiting your test result. You must book and pay for your hotel stay before arriving in Canada.
  4. Complete a 14-day quarantine at a suitable location after leaving the hotel. You must also take another COVID-19 molecular test on day 8 of your quarantine.
  5. Monitor your health and report any symptoms or test results through the ArriveCAN app or by calling 1-833-641-03431
• If you are traveling by air within Canada, you do not need to take a pre-arrival COVID-19 test. However, some provinces and territories may still require you to quarantine upon arrival, depending on where you are coming from and your vaccination status. You should check the local requirements before you travel.
• If you are traveling by cruise ship to Canada, you do not need to have pre-board tests, be vaccinated, or use ArriveCAN. However, there are still some guidelines to protect passengers and crew, which align with the approach used in the United States.
• If you have symptoms of COVID-19, you should not travel to Canada. If you feel sick or experience any symptoms of COVID-19 during your travel to Canada or upon arrival, you should inform the flight attendant, cruise staff, or a border services officer upon arrival. You may be referred to a quarantine officer for a health assessment and further direction.
