Hello,
I am a USA Expat, 68 y/o who was living in Thailand but now I'm stranded in Bali. When things open up I need to get back to Thailand.
Currently as you're probably aware Thailand has an entry requirement to have "Valid health insurance policy covering all expenditures of medical treatments including COVID-19 worth at least $100,000 USD".
Do you have a policy that meets their requirements? Have any of your policies actually been used to enter Thailand and been accepted?Or can you guarantee that they would accept it?
Thank you for your assistance.
Sincerely,Thanks for your inquiry!
Here is the ideal plan for you to receive coverage in Thailand. This plan is for US citizens traveling outside the US and the plan covers Covid-19.
Safe Travels Outbound:This plan provides a policy maximum of $100,000.Here are the details of this plan.

Regards,Hello,
I am a 23-year-old American woman traveling in Australia on a working holiday visa looking for travel health insurance. I am very interested in the Global Medical Bronze Insurance and wanted to ask a few questions.I will be visiting the USA for about a month in July 2019 then will spend the remainder of the year in Australia. I have been told I need to purchase PPACA insurance as an American citizen. Is this included in the Bronze insurance? Do I need to go through a separate process to obtain the PPACA? Is it necessary? I will not be working in the USA while I am home.
Any information would be very helpful.
Thank you,Thank you for contacting us at American Visitor Insurance for your travel health insurance needs! None of the visitor insurance plans that we offer are PPACA compliant. Only domestic health insurance plans are compliant with ACA. The laws for visitor insurance plans are different from those of domestic plans. You can definitely buy the Global Medical Bronze plan for your visit to the US from Australia. We feel that there is no need to buy PPACA complaint plan as it is only US domestic plans that are compliant and US domestic insurance will not cover you in Australia.
Global Medical Bronze will cover you while you are in Australia and in the US. Here are the details of the plan. This is a plan from the company IMG:

It is important to be aware that the domestic health insurance of your home country usually does not provide coverage while outside your countries borders. As a foreign citizen, an expatriate will not be eligible for local subsidized medical care. Another very important factor is the varying price of healthcare in different parts of the world. It should be noted that the quality and price of healthcare can vary significantly even within a country. It is therefore important to have good worldwide health insurance so that you can access quality healthcare wherever you are currently residing.
You have a broad range of international medical insurance options. There are basic fixed benefit plans which provide a fixed coverage for different medical treatments which suffice for basic health care, there are also comprehensive global health insurance options which provide extensive healthcare cover up to the policy medical maximum up to 8 million US Dollars. Along with medical coverage, there are also options for preventive care, vision, dental benefits as well as medical evacuation.
Following are some benefits that are are covered by the international medical insurance:
The cost of international health insurance varies depending on the insurance company and the plan chosen. The main factors on which the cost of insurance depends on are the age of insured, the medical maximum chosen, the deductible for the plan, the geographic region where you want coverage, the payment frequency option (monthly, quarterly or annually) as well as any add-on coverage, The fixed benefit expat insurance options (which have fixed limits for different coverage) are significantly cheaper than the comprehensive expatriate health insurance plans (which have no limits for different treatments up to the medical maximum).
