Safe Travels Single Trip Cancellation Insurance for Covid19
Hi,Do the trip cancellation plans (specifically Safe Travels Single Trip, but also the others) allow trip cancellation if you test positive for COVID before your cruise/travel (especially if required by the cruise line, country, etc)? Are there limitations on this test? Can any test accepted by the cruise line/ country be used or does it have to be PCR? Can it be a proctored rapid test, for example?
Also, is there any follow up documentation (like a doctor's certification) required to submit the claim?
Thank you,Covid is treated like any other illness. They must meet all the requirements for trip cancellation the same as any other illness. They would need either a PCR test or Rapid test and also a physician's statement advising to cancel the trip on or before the scheduled date of departure. They would file a claim and the claims department would review and determine the validity of the claim.
